Hello all…new to the blacksmith stuff… I just bought the contents of a blacksmith shop that closed in 1956 and has been untouched since. Looking for a little guidance on this vise. One guy told me it might be something as he has only seen them with a big stand under them. Just wondering if maybe it had the stand at one point and being from the era of fixing this as opposed to today the throw away and get new…that maybe they made due with a homemade fix. Anyhow…looking to see if anyone can identify it as i haven’t came across any markings on it yet. Also looking for opinions on value as i decide if i should keep it or sell it. Thanks for any help
