Okay I made a forge and I’m having problems with getting the heat up to temperature I used a mr. Heater weed burner and I made a mixture of 50% sand and 50% plaster of Paris put it into a used propane tank off of a gas grill the flame shoots out about a foot-and-a-half out of the front of the opening it’s kind of like dangerous looking so I put a brick in front of it I put a piece of wrought iron in to make a set of tongs and it seemed like it would not get Cherry now I repositioned the burner trying to get that vortex at spiral and still no luck any ideas
How high off the ground do you have this thing and does it have a chimney? I’m a total newbie too but I never had a problem making a really hot fire
