Hello everyone. I’ve been looking at trying my hand at knifemaking specifically and possibly other things as well down the line for quite some time now. I’ve been following some popular YouTubers who put out some pretty decent how-to material on how to do certain things and also reading around forums, but I wanted to get with some knowledgeable people on here for advice. I understand that watching some online videos and talking about it isn’t a substitute but I want to try to go into it with as much information as I can. So basically what I was curious about is: where is a good place to start? I’m curious about the tools I ought to try and acquire, some good techniques I should be aware of when working with the steel, and I guess anything else that may be helpful to a complete beginner. At any rate, I’m looking forward to learning some new things.
