Hi All, My name is Gary and I currently live outside of Portland Oregon. I have held many positions in my life, from aviation ordnance in the Navy, certified welder, electrician, carpenter, millwright and maintenance man, and lastly, I retired as a Registered Nurse. Being a craftsman at heart, I kept my hand in with wood working and doing home repairs. Now that I am retired, I want to go back to metal working. I took a class locally and enjoy it immensely. I am looking to get a shop together and do everything from woodworking, welding, and of course, blacksmithing… Nice to find a forum of like minded people…
