Hammers and such

So, this is my new hammer and hot cut, made by fiery furnace forge in Kentucky, Dave the smith is 21 yrs old and has his head on straight! If I had half his maturity at that age…plus he does nice work! The hammer is a 4.5# rounding and feels really nice in hand.

Great tools, I’m familiar with that stamp and then read your post - yep, one and the same Fiery Furnace Forge! Well known guy. Good place to start out, for sure.

Great hammer! Really like that style. Thanks for sharing.

Is a rounding hammer best for moving the material? I only have been using a couple of store bought hammers and been practicing with rebar and other soft steels.

Yup, looks like it can definitely get the job done.
