Alright, so I’m finally getting into blacksmithing, I just made my first forge. I don’t think it will last very long as it is primarily made from a mixture of Plaster of Paris and Play Sand, but I figure it will be enough to start. I’m going to plug a Bernzomatic TS8000 into it as a burner and I’m planning on forging with rebar for now. Thoughts?

Go for it! Can’t wait to see what your first project is. It might take a few heats to get all the moisture out and reach max temperatures . . .
