I bought a new anvil today that looks like an old Kohlswa (i put some pictures in topic helping for an ID) but it covered with a lot of motor oil and it clogged all the possible markings on it, so what i should use to remove this oil without corroding the anvil? I was thinking in diesel, gas, kerosene but dont know if they`ll react with the anvil
non chlorinated brake cleaner, CRC Brakleen works good. I use it to clean off all the grease on square tube. It won’t leave a residue & you can heat up any metal right after you use it as long as you use the non chlorinated kind.
